The opinions of the argument of the government role

My mom's opinion: Yes, the government is too big if "big" refers to the number of people working for it and the number of various departments because they both create bureaucracy thus they make the government inefficient. Or if "big" refers to the power of the government, then the government is not too big because in America, we value democracy. We don't want a centralized government meaning we don't want all states to follow the same rules.

My dad's opinion: Yes, the government right now is too big. Although people don't like big government, under circumstances we need a big government like to help soldiers in the war or to make the economy better.

Mr Dippel's opinion: I think the government is important. Without it, the country is in big trouble though it could be more efficient.

Ms. Rossier's opinion: Yes, the government is too big because they're making a lot of mandates and rules.

Mr. Fletcher's opinion: I wouldn't really worry about the size of the government, just how they are efficient, spending money, plans etc.

My opinion: I don't really care about the size of the government, I just care about how efficiently they do and solve things like the war in the Middle East, the economy, the H1N1 flu etc.
